January,29 2012: Last session of ski in Pyrenees before the departure. A perfect weather for a day with Chloé, 8 ys old, the future of the Bagnères-La Mongie ski club. A very good moment, an attractive meeting. We even took advantage of it to make "speed" tries: 68kph for Chloé, alone, and a 101kph in my arms ^^ Impressionant! It's now snowing a lot at home (50cm) but on Wednesday it will be the departure... car will be heavy ...
January,20 2012: While waiting ... Hard to find unartificial snow in Pyrenees... More than a month without a single snowfall and strange temperatures. It is the opportunity to try other practices (here in training cross-country skiing with the sports section of the Argelès Gazost high school) before leaving in a few days for a "pure" speed skiing training. 3 weeks of daily runs at more than 200 kph in Vars, preparation of skis, tests in the wind tunel, sessions of physical preparations.. Etc. just to be at the top before my return in World Cup!
January,9 2012 After the " new year break", back on full gas trainings. Some Alpine skiing to imrpove the glide, body-building + physical preparation, stretshing, cross-country skiing for the "boost".. Etc... A test was also programmed in this beginning of year in the "Centre Médico Sportif Tarbes Hautes Pyrénées" to realize an evaluation of the physical condition of the moment (evaluation of the physical capacity and the recovery / measure of the maximal consumption of O2 / determination of the anaerobic threshold by dosage of the lactic acid contained in the blood). The preparation is still "on work", and a high-speed training to optimize the last regulations should be made over 3 weeks, the end of January / beginning in February in VarS...
January,3 2012 Happy New Year to everyone ! A furious reveillon spent on the Spanish coast at San Sebastien. 18°C on morning, wearing T-shirt in front of the beach, of which to confuse some! Return at the house the next day under the snow, and today, big blue sky, 25cm of fresh snow, virgin slopes and nobody all around. An incredible day of freeride on the hillsides of the "Pic du Midi" of Bigorre (Pyrenees), a present of the new year thank you!
Le 21 décembre 2011 Many information in this end of year. It's finally the opening of all the ski resorts in Pyrenees! Snow is falling. That's so great to be able to ski at home... Side activities, this evening took place the ceremony of " High Of Perf ": including the Top Pyreneans sportsmen titled at the European or world level in 1st division of their category, a report of 3mn is broadcasted on every champion, allowing us to enter their intimacy and travel with them through their activity! A pure moment of magic and feelings! It is now the holiday period, we'll need to be carefull on the various meals, to avoid having to double effort during the next sessions of physical muscul / preparation ^^. A little present for Christmas with a video of both athletes (and rivals) Italians, Simone and Ivan ORIGONE, in training on Cervinia. Everybody is completely, it will be necessary to be ready in the daytime.. Merry Christmas to everyone !
December,8 2011 Exclusively: my 2011/2012 poster which will go out in January. Thanks to T.Tidstrand for the magnificent photo realized during the 2011 world championships of Verbier (Switzerland), and to my partners who support me for a long time: Quiksilver surfwear, the General Council of the Hautes-Pyrénées and the city of Tarbes, without whom such results would not be possible! Hope this card will give me luck for the coming season...
November,25 2011 Yesterday evening, in the Chamber of Commerce auditorium, Tarbes city celebrated their best sportsmen. " It is the opportunity to present to the 250 persons of the ceremony, those who by their results carried with talent the colors of their team and conveyed the sports image of Tarbes ". Not less than 7 world champions, 7 European champions and 85 French champions were rewarded during this evening. We understand easily why Tarbes has been appointed by the newspaper "L' Equipe" as the 3rd most sports city of France behind Lyon and Montpelier!
November,11 2011 Small break of 10 days in the Canarian Islands. Program: photos, surf and sun. We reload bateries before entering completely in the winter season, the last hot dayx (27°C average).back to work on Monday to the "Hautes Pyrénées" General Council, with preparation of the school cross-country skiing! Snow is coming !
October,31 2011 Back from a gathering with the French team, in Pyrenees! 3 days " at home " with as objective a development on the individual physical preparation and the implementation of strategies for the World cup season to come. Interrupted with balnéo, start of a professional rugby game and an unexpected caving for the greater part... It is the start of a new adventure which will lead us to the 2013 World championships in France !
October,21 2011 This week took place the trade show of Tarbes, on the theme of "water". The "General Council of Pyrenees" held a stand of " walkball " rather original, where I try walking on water ! A puzzling exercise in which gone also the players of the Tarbes rugby team (TPR), Football team (TPF), as well as the girls of the basketball ( TGB). So a funny time!
October,17 2011 It was this week end the openning of the rugby championship in wich I participate. Indeed, I give a help to the club of the town where I grew, in the "Hautes-Pyrénées". first match at home and first victory. Rugby allowed me to continue training in endurance in a friendly atmosphere, without having to run alone ! Naturally, I'm obliged to stop playing during winter for timetable constraints, but especially to avoid possible wounds, wich could stop my ski season. Here with the bask helmet, wink to my favorite french team ...
Ocober,12 2011 Yesterday took place the 3rd edition of the " golf tournament Enjoy and Care ", organized by Quiksilver. It is a meeting between high-level sportsmen, children, associations and partners that allows to collect funds for the benefit of a carritative association indicated for one year. For 2011, it is the Chrysalide association (www.association-chrysalide.org) wich is working for education and integration of persons affected by a mental handicap. Thanks to the support of the local companies, 23 000 € have been collected. The association " 1maillot for the life " , helped in 2010, and which was able this year to bring sick children on the Quiksilver pro France (world championship of surfing), in initiation of surfing, pelota, and golf! Sports side, our team " Jeremy Florès " was able to limit the breakage thanks to the regularity of some of his members, and to the luck of the others! Thanks to Julien Peyrelongue (french rugby team), José Cledera (quiksilver) and Brice Dubourdieu (quiksilver) for their wise advice during this afternoon
Le 30 Septembre 2011 The Indian summer continues, an incredible weather and incredible waves! Ideally performed weeks: works with the sport service from Tuesday to Friday + work in hossegor during the week end; Rugby training on tuesday/friday, body building on tuesday/wednesday/thursday, and surfing almost 4 or 6h by day from saturday till monday night. The Quiksilver Pro France is also starting in a few days, stage of the world championship of surfing in France. Lot of spectators arrived, lot of people in the water, but we always take advantage of some exceptional waves as here, on sunday evening, on the spot of Santocha (Capbreton)

August,20 2011 Landing of some swedish racers in the southwest! Sanna, Hélène and Christian come get acquainted with our customs. Some visit, surf and SUP lessons, sun, tapas and degustation of local wines ! A predisposition in glides disciplines for Sanna and Christian which from the first day knew how to wake up on a surf, follow the wave, and surf the Stand Up Paddle! Hélène from her part took care of some wine and of the sun ;)
Le August,05 2011 Opening of the parties of Bayonne "fêtes de Bayonne" ( South West of France ). One of the 3 bigest gatherings in the world after the Rio carnival and the beer festival in Munich. 5days / 1,5 million visitors all dressed in the traditional red and white dress or in fancy dresses with the "féria" colors / animations, bandas (itinerant band), young cows, a big party! This is the beginning of my holidays: surfing all day long, relaxation, sports activities completely! Carpe Diem
August,1st 2011 After a grey and cold july weather, sun is back. And waves too! Having fun surfing or Stand Up Paddling between some yoga sessions. Also some rugby games and 1 or 2 "férias" (big french party). A French south west lifestyle ! This month, some racers will come and see how things happen here.... News soon... July,19 2011 Launch of the project " The visiting rooms of the sport " set up with the detention center of Tarbes. 1h30 of exchanges and display of my sport: the speed skiing. We display some videos, discuss of the specificities of my equipment, the sensations of descents in such speeds, my training.. Etc... A public very interrested in discovering this sport which they exactly qualified as " formula 1 of the ski ", the fastest not motorized sport on earth.

June,04 2011 Back in the Pyrenees since one week, I've started working again in the Country sport departement. And, this week end, takes place the "La Montée du Géant" called now "Souvenir Laurent Fignon", in homage to our french champion died this year. This event allowed thousands of cyclist to climb the famous "col du TOURMALET" , together with international champions, in a festive atmosphere (yellow scarfs; gourmant provisioning with local cheese, ham, beans, wine...; and Bandas - French orchestra; all along the route !). This year, the spanish champion , 5x winner of the "tour de France", Miguel Indurain took part of the event; And he says that he 'll probably come with his sons for a speed ski try ...to be continued !
April,23 2011 Bronze medalist in 2011 World championship and world champion by team !!!! CRAZY. An extraordinary end of season. It's been hot, sometimes scary but DONe ! Victory of the World recrod holder Simone Origone, and I miss the 2nd place for 0,01kph, incredible, for the benefit of the Red Bull athlete Ivan Origone (209,70km / hour). Even more crazy, the Austrian Klaus Schlauchtramer takes the 4th place with 209.67kph (only 0,03kph from the 2nd place). Some little regrets which disapeared at the announcement of the 4th speed..

April,07 2011 Big disappointment! World Record Attempt planned on Var from 11 TILL 17 APRIL has been cancelled, quite as the French World cup... One avalanche occurred 2 days ago on the track of the next confrontation between the world best speed skiers. The objective of the season is OFF without being able to make anything. Hard! Thanks to the resort, to the ski patrolmen and to P.Billy for the immense work achieved for months. Of the blow: no world record attempt (waited since 5ans); and in the overall world cup ranking I tumble on the 4th place, in spite of my comfortable advance, not having competed for the Swedish races to rest me and prepare me for this big historic race. Need to forget the disappointment, change objective and re - motivate for the World championship which take place from April 18th in Switzerland (Verbier). Between the favourites, the surprises of this end of World cup, the starved etc. result is Open !
April,02 2011 While I'm training in France on the track of the next World Record attempt, other racers are competing on Swedish world cup. First stop April 2,3 in IDre then 5,6 in Sälen. For the moment I'm still ont the podium of the overall ranking with a comfortable advance. Hope not loosing to much points before the world cup finals to be on to rise on the 2011 podium while being better prepared and rested before the season quest ! March,31 2011 Finland, 2 more podiums in World Cup! Very closed results and victory of the youngest Italian Ivan Origone. New skis "special VArs" tested during training, good sensations, just a few things to improve and I'll be ready for the Race of the Year ! I won't be racing on the 2 Swedish world cup (Idre Saturday/Sunday and Sälen Tuesday/Wednesday) and will sacrifice some points for the 2011 overall World Cup result. I so hope to prepare my equipement, test some last things and arrive on Friday in Vars less tired than the others racers. Good strategy ..? Answer soon !

I'm usually not good in "slow" speed ... a good "omen" for the end of season !

November,15 2010 French training camp at Veigy (Geneve). Back from 3 hard training days : sessions of body building, Yoga/Tai Chi, sophrology, training circuit, body combat, aqua gym, biking, official photo shoot ..Etc.. A great atmosphere, a lot of fun. Winter season is starting !!!
October,23 2010 While the snow is not falling yet, it's the physical training period. Instead of running alone, I prefer playing in my village rugby team. 2 training days by week and 1 match on Sunday, besides the musculation sessions of the week !

April,25 2010 END of SEASON !! A long 2010 world cup tour finishing at Verbier (Switzerland). Perfect weather, Track but not so good results : 6th at -4km/h from the day winner, the Italian champion S.Origone; who took the allover top rank and cristal globe. Tired, unmotived, I wasn't abble to fight for the 2009/2010 final podium and only took the 4th allover place. But a really good season : 5 podiums in the 9 world cup races!! Now waiting for the next season, a big one with The World championship (Verbier - Avril) and the new World Record Attempt (Vars - Avril)! mountain finished, starting sea and surf ...
April,13 2010 Back from a new challenge : 10 team of 3 European High Level Athletes (B.Lizarazu, M.Crepel, L.Alphand, JP.Vidal, T.Estanguet, R.Mesnil ..etc..) compete in the "2010 odyssee du flocon a la vague": a 4 days raid with freeskiing, hydrospeed, rafting, kayak, surf, pirogue, stand up paddle and paddle board, boat, swimming..Etc... Following the water, from the moutain... to the sea ! My team called "CG65" finished 3d in the competition (with W.Forgues: kayak olympic gold medalist / V.Valery: French Snowboard cross team / and me ) just after the "Liza" Team (B.Lizarazu) and "CG64" (T.Estanguet). February,25 2010 Arrived in Vancouver for the 2010 Olympic Games. A surprising "summer" weather: 20°C, sunny ... There is a lot of people in the street, canadian flags everywhere, lot of party ! Tomorrow we are going to see our Local friend : Camille De Faucompret competing in snowboard GS, and on Saturday the French Ski leader Julien Lizeroux in the slalom. Then On March,1st we ll fly to Sun Peaks (3hour north Vancouver) to start our training and next FIS World Cup ! Back home on March,10 !
February,13 2010 Our locals Olympics athletes will compete this week ! Xavier & Polo DE LE RUE (boardercross), Mathieu CREPEL (Half Pipe), Marie Laure BRUNNET (Biathlon), Adrien THEAUX (downhill and Super G). 5 potential medals ! But Olympic games is a One Day Race, full of surprises, enjoyments, deceptions... We 'll fly to Vancouver on February, 23 , to support our champions, just before our Canadian World Cup ! Hope speed ski will return in the Oplympic program for the next 2014 games (Sotchi - Russie)

For me, This new year begin with a new TV report on "France 2" channel, this Saturday. A little film talking about my preparation and training before the new World Cup season.
December,21 2009 Invited as local champion to the "Rendez vous de Etoiles" ("stars meeting"). A Freeride/Party Event made to promote the Pyrénées and their champions. 2 full skiing day, an extreme cold weather (-17°C in the resort, -27 on the top of the mountain "Pic du Midi"), fresh powder from yesterday, reception on the top of the observatory with the stars, local food and drinks (ouch) at almost 3 000m of height. And to finish, a big "Lastage" party with live concert ... early wake up, to join the city for a rugby show game. And to close this big week end, On Monday was the "Hautes Perf's" show which reward sportsmen who won the National, European or Mondial Title in the 1st division of their sport. A 3min film is made and diffused for each sportsmen rewarded!
December,9 2009 This week end was a video shoot session: skiing in "La Mongie", interviews in my appartment, at the rugby game, with my parents, in the musculation gymnasium at Annecy with our famous coach Karine ^^, and last, in my tecnical ski room, where we build new skis, new structures : Ski Clinic ! 3 big working days, a lot of transport , but i hope, a really good report which will be broadcasted on January,9 at 18h on ADN broadcast (France 2) !
November,20 2009 Since Friday, we are staying in the Canaries Island (African West Coast) for 2 weeks of foto shooting and surfing ! Novembre,03 2009 Back from the last french team training camp in Annecy. Full of physical preparation supervised by our coach Karine : body pump, body balance, RPM, aqua dynamic, body scult, cardio, power plate. Interrupted with some recovery sessions (sophrologie, sauna, hamam ..), meetings, photography shoot and "surprised" meal! So much fun during these intensive days which allowed some to recover their "disappeared muscles" (...) but especially to prepare, I hope, a fruitful season 2010 while discovering the new team 09/10. Thanks to Karine, Philippe and all the Visaform team which allowed us to realise this training camp
